Sunday Afternoon in HIgh Park
Oil Painting,Laser Cut, Cinema 4D
Through 3D-scanning the traditional oil painting, transforming it into digital art and reconstructing it into a physical sculpture, this work playfully explores the tension between analog and digital and the possibilities of innovation in traditional art forms. It aims to immerse the audience into my memory of a Sunday afternoon in High Park.
The project demonstrates the shift in my practice as an artist from traditional painting to digital media. It was also my first foray into the study of the relationship between virtual and physical elements.
