Toolkit: Kinect 3D Scaning, Cinema 4d, Traditional Sculpting
The project is a Multi-Channel installation based on an abstract human skull. It addresses the transformation of art from analog to digital. My initial goal was to create a physical sculpture, but the process was not successful and the sculpture ended up breaking. To reconstruct it, I decided to conduct a 3D scan and imported it into a 3D animation software. Through adding torsions, extrusions, and abruptions to the digital object in Cinema 4D, I created four animations of the digitally reconstructed object and displayed them concurrently on four monitors.
